BMW X2
The BMW X2 combines the practicality of an SUV with the slinky styling you’d expect to find on a smaller hatchback or coupe. It shares plenty of mechanical bits with the BMW X1, but you’ll easily tell them apart thanks to the X2’s more rakish styling and a dramatically sloping roof line.
Even the entry-level BMW X2 comes with a set of gaping vents cut into the front bumper, some sporty side skirts and funky squared-off whee larches that look like BMW’s designers set aside their compasses and started drawing with a Spirograph instead.
Step inside and things get much less in-your-face. The sensible dashboard layout, clear and concise instruments and soft-touch materials help make the BMW X2’s interior feel plush and intuitive in equal measure.
You won’t have any trouble getting comfortable, either – no matter if you’re very short or tall enough for a career in professional basketball – thanks to the X2’s ample seat and steering wheel adjustment.
The infotainment display is another highlight, thanks to its crisp screen, simple rotary dial and standard sat-nav that’s much easier to program than those in the Jaguar E-Pace and Volvo XC40.
SE
Entry-level X2s come with 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, two-zone climate control, plus front and rear parking sensors. You also get satellite navigation built into the 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
9 engines available with the SE trim 1.5Lpetrol 2L petrol & 2L Diesel
X2 Sport models get larger 18-inch alloy wheels than standard SE cars alongside LED headlights, more supportive sports seats, contrasting dashboard stitching and ambient interior lighting. They also come with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satnav.
10 engines available with the Sport trim 1.5Lpetrol 2L petrol & 2L Diesel 1.5L Hybrid
Pick an M Sport model and you’ll get more aggressive bumpers, LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and heated front sports seats with a more supportive shape than in entry-level cars. You also get ambient interior lighting, suede-like Alcantara upholstery, lowered sports suspension and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in sat nav.
